Washington has the highest number of AIDS patients in the Nation. The Health Department has awarded more then 25 million in a four year period to organizations that have misappropriated the funds, and to individuals with criminal pasts who have been awards grants to create organizations to help people with AIDS who have stolen the money, never creating the organization, according to a Washington post investigation. The F.B.I are investigating.
I'm confused. They're not giving money to people with criminal pasts are they? And what about awarding grants to organizations for AIDs?
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting. I wouldn't have thought that Washington would have had the highest number of AIDS patients. So the people lied about being an AIDS organization, and they stole all the money?
ReplyDeleteThis is really odd. I wonder why its so much higher in Washington. Also why are they giving awards to past criminals?
ReplyDeleteSounds like they should pay attention a little closer to where these funds are headed for. If this happened for these charities, you've got to wonder about other areas.

ReplyDeleteI would like to ready the whole article. I did not know D.C's statistics on AIDS. AIDS victims need the money to continue or start treatments.

• Health Department shouldn't be capitalized. You would if you said United States Health Department
